Hairdressing, Ayatollah Style

53 beauty salons were closed by police in the city of Urmia. A police chief in Western Azerbaijan said the parlours were engaging in illegal activity, adding they were encouraging Western and non-Islamic fashions. 

Colonel Rahim Bakhsh said, ‘they're not following hygiene orders, they're using unhygienic make up, promoting western and non-Islamic fashions and engaging in coffee-omen reading; these are the reasons for closing them.’
