Mourners paid their respect to Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on the morning of Monday, January 9 in Tehran's Jamaran neighborhood. President Hassan Rouhani, cabinet members, and prominent Iranian figures were all in attendance as the body of Rafsanjani, who was head of the Expediency Council at the time of his death on January 8, arrived at a mosque in the northern part of the capital.
