Shaghayegh Khaneh Zarrin and Negar Ighani, two Baha'i citizens living in Shiraz, were arrested on the morning of 26 June, 2022, by Ministry of Intelligence agents and taken to an unknown location.
The news follows the sentencing, earlier in June, of 26 Baha'is in Shiraz to a combined total of 85 years of prison sentences and internal exiles. Several Baha'is are also currently being held in the men's and women's wards of Adelabad Prison in Shiraz because of their religious beliefs.
