A known terrorist, Anis Nakash, was invited to appear on Iran’s state TV to talk about his claim to fame: the attempted assassination of the Shah’s last prime minister in 1980. He says the operation was approved by Ayatollah Khomeini, but was then scuppered by a judge, who accidentally let slip that the operation was underway. For years, he’s been annoyed that he hasn’t enjoyed the commendation he deserves. But now, with a spot on TV, that appears to have changed.
