No to Compulsory Hijab

In response to the government's first sponsored "Hijab and Chastity Day" on July 12, some Iranian women and girls chose to protest by going out in public without the mandatory headscarf. Many were accompanied by their husbands and male friends, and documented their experiences in short videos posted online. In the aftermath, several were arrested.
