Iranian Women Can Do It!

Undoubtedly the leading slogan of the ongoing protests in Iran is "Woman, Life, Freedom!", cried by women and men, and now even teenage school girls, across the country. The slogan originated in Kurdistan and was used during the initial protests against Mahsa Amini's death. Those first protests took place in Saqqez – but the slogan has since been carried across Iran and around the world by social media and popular support.
