Iranian journalists are being constantly harassed and arbitrarily imprisoned for reporting on issues of public interest in one of the world’s most repressive countries in terms of press freedom. While the Islamic Republic stops at nothing in its efforts to crackdown on dissent and prevent coverage of protests and social issues, civil society continues to demand more freedom and respect for fundamental rights, including the freedom to be informed.
