Iranian hardliners have recently propsed a special morality police division (Gasht-e Ershad) to specifically target infractions by tourists visiting Iran. Most tourists report that they found adhering to Islamic dress codes a relaxed matter during their time in the country -- which has in turned encouraged the perception that Iran is hospitable to tourism. A morality police squad devoted to tourist offenses will doubtlessly undermine the country's already limited tourist industry, despite President Hassan Rouhani's avowal to promote tourism as part of his vision for the country.
