On 21 January, Mohammadreza Rahimi, former vice president under Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was sentenced to five years in prison on charges of “financial corruption” 

Rahimi was implicated in the “corruption gang” or “Fatemi House” scandal, which hit the headlines in 2009.
