"The Shia messiah isn’t happy that women ride bicycles!”

Recently, a grand ayatollah complained that women riding bicycles goes against the fundamental beliefs of Shia Islam. But nothing in Iranian law supports this. In the same week that Iran carried out new arrests of women trying to enter stadiums to watch football, it is interesting that the cleric has chosen now to trample on other rights for women too.
