Hengaw gave the detainees’ names as Jamal Gerami, Aram Nikopi, Salman Afra, and Sivan Parto and said all four had been charged in connection with holding Nowruz gatherings.

Elsewhere a man named Sarvak Abolghasemi was arrested in the same period in the city of Sanandaj, while four people were arrested on the same charges in Oshnavieh. There have also been as-yet unconfirmed reports of the arrests of nine other citizens in Saghez.
