Halal Fashion on the Catwalk

When Iranian women are told they can’t cheer on their favorite athletes, some of them turn to fashion. To celebrate the World Cup, an Iranian fashion house has asked fans to design hejabs inspired by Team Melli, Iran’s team. Based on the colours of the Iranian flag, these hejabs—given the names “Iranian Arc”, “Mantoza”, “Panchowiz” and “Mantowiz”— use a sporting motif to give women the chance to their show their support for the national team in style.
