Iran’s economic crisis has taken its toll on ordinary Iranians. The price of daily essentials, including fresh produce, milk and baked goods, continue to rise. Because the government does not regulate prices for these goods, it is perfectly legal for bakers and shop owners to attach exorbitant price tags to the most important items on people’s dinner tables.
