Despite being run by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the second day of Fajr Film Festival was marred by arrests and intimidation. Iran’s morality police were out in force, and arrived at Tehran’s Milad Tower to arrest women they deemed to be improperly attired. Among those arrested were women wearing inappropriate dresses or “bad hijab”.
