Tourists are invited to view all areas of Tehran's Niavaran Complex, which boasts a palace and extensive gardens as well as a museum. The complex boasts architecture from different eras in Iran's recent history, dating back to the Qajar era. (1785-1925). Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Iran's last shah, also instructed further building work, and he and his family lived there before the Islamic Revolution and the end of his reign.
