Olympic athlete Kimia Alizadeh returned to a warm welcome as she arrived at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini on the morning of August 26. Alizadeh took the bronze Taekwondo medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, making history as Iran’s first female Olympic medallist. Aged 18, she is the youngest Iranian athlete to have won an Olympic medal.
