Yazd Heritage Under Threat

Yazd was the first Iranian city to have been built entirely out of mud bricks. Because of this, it is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the country. But lack of funds, maintenance and support has meant its historical buildings continue to decline. Some Iranians have called on the government to do more to protect and preserve Yazd's important architectural heritage.
