The ”gando" or "short-muzzle crocodile” is a native crocodile to Iran and Pakistan. It can be found in freshwater lakes and rivers, particularly in the province of Sistan and Baluchistan in southeastern Iran and in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province. 

“Gando” translates as “walking on the belly" in the Balochi language.
