Goldfish are an essential part of the Norooz tradition in Iran, and are brought into people’s homes to represent new life. Ali Asadolahi Soteh's photographs of goldfish farms and packaging centers in Gilan in northern Iran offer a glimpse of the industry, and the labor involved in bringing the fish to the traditional holiday table settings of millions of people in Iran.
