Karkeh: Where No One Knows about Coronavirus

It's been almost a month since officials confirmed the outbreak of coronavirus in Iran  – and there have since been many more cases of infection  across all provinces of the country. In a province like Kerman, especially in suburban or semi-rural areas, people have not been properly informed of the disease and residents are paying little attention to health and prevention advice. And in the industrial town of Karkeh, right next to Kerman city, no one has even heard of the novel coronavirus.
