The Lonely Residents of Kahrizak Care Home

Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, it was difficult to imagine the loneliness many people would suffer, especially the elderly living in care homes, many of whom have not been able to see families. In addition, funds to support the home have been limited, making it difficult for staff to accommodate their needs. These photographs of a care home in Kahrizak capture the quiet sadness of the lives of these men and women, isolated and made even more vulnerable by the pandemic.
