Maintaining an ancient, pastoral way of life, the Bakhtiari tribe is the last of its kind in Iran. This series of photographs captures the lives of nomadic Bakhtiari tribe members over the course of 16 months. Most photos were taken from the Kotok region, in rural Shimbar District, Khuzestan Province, though a few feature Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.
