On the evening of Saturday, January 8, 2022, an oil tanker blew up in the city of Hosseinabad, 45km from Sanandaj, the capital of Iran’s Kurdistan province. The vehicle caught fire after overturning in the road, then exploded. Three people were killed and several others were seriously injured. The local branch of the Red Crescent about 30 houses, and 10 to 15 private cars had also been damaged in the blaze.
