The family house of Mahsa Amini has been completely surrounded by heavily armed Iranian security forces on the one-year anniversary of her death, IranWire reports.
According to photos obtained by IranWire, Mahsa Amini's father’s home is currently encircled by security forces, and movement around his house is under strict control.
Amjad Amini has been under house arrest since the early hours of this morning, following several hours of detention by the Saqqez intelligence department.
Stringent security measures have been implemented in the area, particularly after the announcement of the Saqqez community's intention to break the house arrest and show support for the Amini family.
Amjad Amini is also still prohibited from appearing in public places.
Many Iranians have nevertheless tried to reach Amini’s grave in the face of obstacles created by security forces. Their determination prompted them to find alternative routes through the villages of Khider and Hijanan towards the Aichi cemetery.
The gates of a nearby dam were also unexpectedly opened overnight – transforming the once-dry river into a surging body of water and creating new access challenges for locals and demonstrators.
