Iranian security forces have arrested another rapper, Sadegh Ghasemi Zilaei, in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, a human rights website reported.
Agents of the Ministry of Intelligence detained Zilaei on October 28 during a raid on a relative's residence, and transferred him to the detention center of the Ahvaz Intelligence Department, HRANA quoted a source close to his family as saying.
The report said that the artist managed to make a brief phone call to his relatives while in custody.
No information is available regarding the charges he faces.
Many Iranian artists have been arrested or harassed for their support of monthslong anti-government protests sparked by the death in police custody of Mahsa Amini in September 2022.
Toomaj Salehi, a popular rapper, was held in solitary confinement for nearly a year and sentenced to six years and three months in prison.
Another rapper arrested more than a year ago, Saman Yasin, is facing the death penalty.
