Security forces of the Islamic Republic have arrested a man after he protested some officials' behavior during his previous detention.

Jibraeel Pakrouh, a resident of Tabriz, was arrested by security forces at his home on Monday.

He had previously criticized the police force's violent action against him and his family in videos posted on social media.

Before his arrest, Pakrouh was summoned by the Tabriz Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office on charges of "spreading falsehoods."

In a video message, his daughter and son stated that security forces arrested him in a fragile physical condition and took him to an undisclosed location.

Pakrouh detailed the consequences of a previous assault by officers from Tabriz's 1st Intelligence Base in a video posted on social media in March.

He stated that the attack led to him getting three surgeries and multiple hospitalizations in the neurology department of Tabriz's Razi Hospital.

The video documented lasting health problems, including blurred vision, balance issues, hearing impairment, a drooping eyelid, and muscle weakness, significantly impacting his daily life.

Following this video's release, Tabriz police threatened Pakrouh with arrest if he continued his protest.

Despite these threats, he continued to speak out in videos, criticizing the extra-legal sentences issued against him, his brother, and his son.

In recent years, with the rise of anti-government protests, Iranian authorities appear to the use of force by police to suppress dissent.
