Security forces of the Islamic Republic have been threatening the country's students regarding online posts criticizing late President Ebrahim Raisi.

According to a report published by the Amir Kabir Telegram channel on Tuesday, the security department of Shahid Beheshti University sent threatening text messages to students.

The messages warned them that their behavior and actions on university premises and social media concerning the news of Ebrahim Raisi's death were under surveillance.

One of these messages, sent to members of a Beheshti University student Telegram group, stated: "The users of this group are under the supervision of Shahid Beheshti University's security department."

"Due to the inclusion of false content against the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the incitement of other students to illegal gatherings by some known members of the group, decisive and legal action will soon be taken against the violators.

"Protecting the students and the elites and future makers of the country is one of the inherent duties of the General Security Department of Shahid Beheshti University," it read.

Simultaneously, reports emerged from Tarbiat Modares University saying that the entrances have been segregated for male and female students, with over 18 cameras installed at the entrances.

Students reported that the head of security instructed officers to meticulously check the girls' clothing upon their entry.

Following the helicopter crash on Sunday, which resulted in the deaths of Ebrahim Raisi and several others, judicial and security authorities, along with the police, threatened citizens that their reactions to this incident were being closely monitored.

Media activists and journalists within Iran told IranWire that security agencies have disrupted their lives with threatening calls to prevent the republishing of news related to Ebrahim Raisi's death.

One journalist, who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons, told IranWire, "When I didn't answer their calls, they contacted my uncle and brother, threatening that an arrest warrant had been issued for me and that if I did not delete my stories and posts, they would come to arrest me."
