The Emtedad news outlet reported on Tuesday, June 9, that four Iranian filmmakers have been summoned to the Culture and Media Court. The individuals were called in over their comments regarding the January protests and on charges of "cooperation with hostile states against the Islamic Republic."
Tahmineh Milani, a writer and film director; Mohsen Amiryoussefi, a director and vice-president of the House of Cinema; Mostafa Kiaei, a director and producer; and Mohsen Kiaei, a film actor, are the four filmmakers summoned to the Culture and Media Court.
Earlier, several other cinema figures, including Houman Seyyedi and Saeed Roustayi, had also been summoned to the same court. The precise details of the charges against them have not yet been announced.
