Iranian intelligence agents removed a political prisoner from Qezelhesar Prison in Karaj on Tuesday and transferred him to an undisclosed location.
According to IranWire sources, Saeed Masouri was taken from prison by officers from the Ministry of Intelligence.
Fellow political prisoners at Qezelhesar described the transfer as a “kidnapping” and voiced concern about his fate.
In response, a group of political prisoners staged a protest inside the prison, chanting slogans against the lack of transparency surrounding Masouri’s situation and the increasing security pressure on prisoners.
Masouri is a veteran political activist who has been imprisoned in the Islamic Republic’s detention facilities for over two decades.
His sudden transfer to an unknown location has raised serious concerns about his health and safety.
