Prison guards severely beat political prisoner Mehdi Ghoorchi on Wednesday, then bound his hands and feet to an iron door following the assault.
The attack took place at Arak Prison and is part of what rights groups describe as a pattern of systematic violence against political prisoners.
On June 13, guards also attacked teacher Abolfazl Khoran, slamming his head against the ground, injuring him, and tearing his clothes, according to reports.
IranWire sources said both incidents occurred in full view of prison surveillance cameras and that video evidence exists.
Iran's Prison Organization has not investigated the violence or taken disciplinary action against the guards involved.
