Iranian Facebook users recently attacked the Facebook profile of American porn star Alexis Texas.
According to word-of-mouth reports and IranWire contacts in Tehran and Shiraz, Alexis Texas is one of the most popular porn stars in Iran, Videos of her are regularly shared among high school students and military in garrisons via DVDs or Bluetooth transfers. A number of Facebook users were said to have posted offensive comments on the star’s page.
The attack follows abusive posts on other Facebook profiles, including the pages of Argentinian soccer star Lionel Messi, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and the Brazilian actress Fernanda Lima, who hosted the draw of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match.
The reasons for the attack on Texas are not clear, but they don’t seem to have any connections with either the World Cup or nuclear negotiations.
