A Tehran-based dentist has been missing for two weeks following her arrest by security forces in a violent raid, human rights monitors report.
Farzaneh Mohammadi Parsa, originally from southern Abadan, was detained on December 25 by security agents who did not present a warrant, according to the Hengaw human rights organization.
Since the arrest, her family has been unable to obtain any information about her condition or whereabouts.
Authorities have also denied Parsa contact with her family and legal representation.
Parsa, who had previously faced threats and arrests from security forces over her opposition to mandatory hijab laws and criticism of Iran's presidential election, remains detained under unclear circumstances.
The formal charges against her, if any, remain undisclosed despite continued efforts by her family to locate her.
