Narges Mohammadi, this year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate, was arrested no less than 13 times, convicted five times, and sentenced to a total of 31 years in prison and 154 lashes for her activism. Currently incarcerated in Tehran’s Evin prison, she has been denied medical care in retaliation for keeping up her fight against women’s oppression and for human rights to be respected in Iran.
