US officials say Iran is emerging as a leader in the production of cheap and effective lethal drones, using Russia’s war in Ukraine as a shop window for its technologies, the Guardian newspaper reported this week. Analysts at the Defense Intelligence Agency shared declassified intelligence showing that Russian forces have used so far three models of Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine: the single-use kamikaze drones Shahed 131 and 136, and the Mohajer-6, which can be used for intelligence gathering and to carry a missile payload. This is a selection of pictures of some of the models of drones currently manufactured in Iran.
