Security agencies are pressuring Mahsa Amini’s family to transfer her remains to Kurdistan for a quiet burial – to avoid “unrest” in Tehran

The Kurdish Hengaw Human Rights Organization has reported that the Islamic Republic’s security agencies are pressuring Mahsa (Zhina) Amini’s family to bury their daughter “without any ceremony” and far away from Tehran so as to avoid any "chaos" or "unrest" in the capital.

Amini – who is originally from Saghez, Kurdistan – died in Tehran’s Kasra Hospital yesterday after being detained by Iran's “morality police” for bad hijab and suffering injuries in detention.

Mahsa Amini was aged just 22 when she died.
