Did you know that according to the government’s draft budget plan for the next Persian year, which begins in March, the amount of income taxes from public and private sector employees is expected to be 47 times higher than the amount of taxes from "economic enterprises, institutions and foundations of the Islamic Revolution?"

Civil servants are to disburse $774 million (at the open market exchange rate) in income taxes, and private sector employees and laborers $990 million. The total of $1.8 billion represents an increase of 46 percent from the current year's budget.
The government anticipates income tax revenues from the revolutionary institutions’ economic activities to reach $37 million, about 1 percent less than in the current year.
