The headquarters of two Iranian Kurdish parties in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region were once again targeted by missile attacks from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Reports indicate that the bases of the Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) in Erbil province were struck.
Iranian media, citing Iraqi sources, reported that the attacks were carried out in the Alana Valley region, located approximately 120 kilometers northeast of Erbil, an area that serves as a deployment site for several Kurdish parties opposed to the Islamic Republic.
The Komala of the Toilers group said in a statement that two missiles struck the party’s headquarters in the Alana Valley on Tuesday evening, June 2. No reports of casualties from the attack have been published so far.
In recent weeks, despite the establishment of a ceasefire between the Islamic Republic, the United States, and Israel, the IRGC has continued its attacks on the bases of Iranian Kurdish parties in the Kurdistan Region.
Amjad Hossein Panahi, the press officer for the Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan, also wrote on X that since the outbreak of the war, the Islamic Republic has targeted the party’s positions and headquarters with more than 82 missiles and drones.
