The Iranian national football team will depart Turkey for Mexico on June 6. IRNA, citing the media department of the Iranian national football team, reported that “with the issuance of visas for the remaining two members of the national team,” the delegation’s visas for the trip to Mexico are now complete.
According to the IRNA report, the Iranian national football team will depart for Tijuana, Mexico, on Saturday, June 6, at 3:20 AM Turkey time.
The Football Federation of Iran had previously announced that, with FIFA’s approval, the national team’s camp and base during the 2026 World Cup would be relocated to the border city of Tijuana in Mexico.
The first two matches of the Iranian national football team are scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, but no reliable news has yet been published regarding the issuance of US visas for the members of the Iranian team and their entourage.
