Hossein Razagh, a media activist incarcerated in Tehran’s Evin prison, has been barred from receiving visits, IranWire has learned.
The restriction was imposed on December 12 after Razagh chanted the protest slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom" in the air yard of Evin’s Ward 3, according to the prison authorities.
Razagh has been arrested numerous times in the past.
In April, Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court sentenced the activist to over four years in prison for "assembly and collusion with the intention of disrupting security and propaganda activity against the system."
In October, human rights activists reported that Razagh was denied transfer to a hospital and access to medical care due to his refusal to wear the prison uniform.
Razagh suffers from various ailments including Guillain-Barré syndrome and hypocalcemia.
