A new “Happy” video has emerged from Iran and has been widely circulated on social media websites. The video shows young Iranians on the streets of Tehran, singing and dancing in well-known public spaces, including outside Milad Tower.
Last month, seven Iranians were arrested for producing and uploading a music video for the same song, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. The video was partially filmed on Tehran rooftops, and the three women who took part were not wearing Islamic headscarves. They were later released on bail.
