The first Airbus landed at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport on January 12 after flying in from Airbus headquarters in France. It's the first Airbus to go into service in Iran in 10 years, and follows on from sanctions being lifted as a result of the nuclear deal. A delegation gathered at the airport to celebrate the arrival of the airplane, and to mark the success of President Rouhani's lucrative deal with the company. It will be used for domestic flights in Iran.
