Air pollution is never long out of the news in Iran. These photos show Ahwaz, Khuzestan during late January, 2017. The province suffers from high levels of pollution on a routine basis, and health in the region continues to decline, especially for the most vulnerable people living there. In recent years, thousands of people have been hospitalized with conditions linked to poor air quality.
