Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran, has reached record-high temperatures in recent days, with some reports saying the city has endured temperatures of 55 degrees Celsius (131 degrees Fahrenheit). Residents do what they can to keep cool — or don't dare venture out into the heat.
