A Rare Chance to Play

In many poor areas of Iran, both urban and rural, parents are not able to spend time with their children, often leaving them to fend for themselves. Occasionally, they will be given a treat, like these kids in Kerman province, enjoying a rare opportunity to have fun on swings, slides, climbing frames, and to play with hula hoops and balls.

The Mostazafan Foundation (the Foundation of the Oppressed), a social welfare organization that is also one of Iran’s biggest financial institutions and closely affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, provided funds so the kids could have a day of fun.
