IRGC Chief Claims Gaza War Influenced Trump’s Election Victory
During a conference of IRGC public relations deputies, Salami said, "The recent U.S. election proved that Gaza’s resistance can even change the American warmongering government"

Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has attributed Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. election to the "resistance of Gaza."

During a conference of IRGC public relations deputies, Salami said, "The recent U.S. election proved that Gaza’s resistance can even change the American warmongering government."

He added, "The Democrats were the ones who fully supported the war in Palestine, but the American people did not vote for those who supplied the Zionists’ killing machine."

Salami’s remarks come amid polling data showing that foreign policy was a low priority for American voters, with issues like the economy, immigration, and abortion rights topping their concerns across both major parties.

The IRGC commander continued, "Americans know that by expanding wars, only their credibility, power, and interests are increasingly damaged."

Meanwhile, Ali Larijani, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, also linked the Democrats’ loss in the U.S. elections to the Gaza war, claiming, "Part of the reason the Democrats lost was their improper treatment of Muslims in Gaza.

"They failed to consider people’s sentiments, and I believe that made an impact, as many Muslims in the U.S. did not vote for them.”

Larijani also spoke on how Iran should respond to Trump’s win, saying that Tehran should not base its actions on Donald Trump, "who isn’t worth that much."

He added that in some of Trump’s statements, there were hints that he didn’t want to go to war with Iran.
