IRAN'S BASIJ INCREASES SECURITY, SETS UP MORE CHECKPOINTS

Iran’s Basij paramilitary force said on Monday it will increase security measures across the country and expand checkpoints as tensions with Israel grow.

The Basij said inspection posts have been set up in several places and will gradually expand.

Iran has arrested dozens of citizens in recent days on charges related to Israeli strikes.

Government officials have asked people to avoid unnecessary travel and movement.

Government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said "due to the current situation in the country, we have reduced internet speed."

Iran's Civil Aviation Organization extended flight cancellations until 2 AM Tuesday, with airspace remaining closed and citizens asked not to visit airports.

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf blamed "internal infiltration" for Israeli strikes and called for "mobilization."

Police arrested four suspects and discovered a drone manufacturing workshop near Isfahan.

Iranian forces shot down eight advanced Israeli drones in Dehloran, Tasnim news agency reported.

Israeli strikes have killed 128 people and injured over 900, hitting hospitals, fire stations, and facilities across Iran.

Israel said 8 people were killed overnight by Iranian attacks on Tel Aviv, Haifa and other cities.

The total number of people killed since Friday stands at 24, according to the Israeli PM's office and Israeli media.
