Iranian authorities arrested the creator of a political discussion program following a court hearing on Monday and transferred him to an undisclosed location.
Mohammad Ahmadi, producer of Dialogue Iran, was detained by security forces after appearing in court to defend himself against charges filed last year in connection with the program, according to the show’s official page.
Videos from the most recent episode, titled Dialogue as Post-War, which aired several days ago, have been widely circulated on social media.
The discussion-based series focuses on Iranian social and political issues and is primarily broadcast on YouTube, with segments also aired on Radio Namayesh.
No information has been released regarding Ahmadi’s whereabouts, the reasons for his arrest, or the specific charges against him, according to the human rights organization HRANA.
Ahmadi, a social researcher, has previously been arrested and pressured by Iranian security forces.
Iranian security agencies, including the Ministry of Intelligence and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Unit, routinely arrest individuals and transfer them to undisclosed locations without informing their families.
