Tehran Municipality claims it has repaired 90 percent of minor damage from the 12-day war in the capital and provided temporary housing, meals, and reconstruction without government assistance.
Abdolmotaher Mohammadkhani, Tehran Municipality spokesman, told Tasnim news agency that the city has undertaken “extensive municipal actions” and is repairing more than 2,000 cases of “medium” damage.
He said strengthening and renovation operations have begun.
The municipality also reported providing temporary housing for victims in 11 hotels in the capital, with food supplies provided from a central kitchen.
The claims come as city officials have repeatedly complained about the lack of government support.
However, the municipality insists it has provided this volume of services alone, without government assistance.
The claims appear inconsistent with the city’s current condition and resemble crisis-driven propaganda rather than actual performance reports.
Iranian authorities have not provided independent verification of the damage assessment or repair claims.
