According to information received by IranWire, Shohreh Haddadian, a defense attorney based in Mashhad, was arrested by security agents in recent days and has since been released on bail.
Informed sources said that agents initially broke down the door of her apartment using a crowbar while she was not present, entered the home, and seized her electronic devices. The operation was reportedly carried out in her absence.
Three nights later, around midnight, a group of about seven security agents returned to her home and arrested her. According to sources, Ms. Haddadian was held for several days before being released temporarily on bail.
The attorney said that at the 257th Branch of the Mashhad Prosecutor’s Office, she was formally charged with “cooperation with the Zionist regime” under the “Law on Confronting the Hostile Actions of the Zionist Regime Against Peace and Security.” She stated that the charge is linked to several stories she posted on social media in which she expressed regret over certain events, including mass killings.
