The "United Students" Telegram channel reported that despite universities currently operating via "remote" instruction, disciplinary sentences have been issued for 50 students at the University of Birjand.
According to the report, approximately 30 students have been sentenced to deprivation of welfare facilities until the end of their studies, while about 20 others have been suspended for two semesters, including the duration of their academic tenure.
Furthermore, the judicial review process for the students' cases commenced while non-local students were not present in the city of Birjand, rendering them unable to participate in their hearings. Reports also indicate that, for some students, text message notifications for the hearing sessions were never even sent.
